Our Learning Community
Much is written these days regarding
educational best practice which indicates the importance of
establishing a safe and connected “Learning Community“.The
International School of Central Switzerland considers its “Learning
community” to be an interdependent and vital connection between
students, families, teachers and our personal and physical
environments.
Our school is extraordinarily fortunate to have established
strong and dynamic links with our immediate community with the
most enthusiastic support of the local Gemeinde (council) of Cham.
- ISOCS understands that the families of our students are our
greatest asset, because we are united in the common goal of
wanting the very best for our children.
- ISOCS supports learning the Host Country language (German)
in engaging and relevant contexts, through intensive community
integration and communication projects.
- ISOCS works closely with the Cham community to build
international understanding through sport, music and language
events.
- ISOCS deliberately sets out to ensure that we use
the local environment and facilities to develop relationships,
appreciation and independence.
