IB PYP Units of Inquiry at ISOCS

Ask any student at ISOCS “What are you learning about at school?”

They will probably tell you about what and how they have been learning in their current International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) Unit of Inquiry!

Many people perceive this “Unit of Inquiry” in a traditional sense as a theme or project…….actually it goes deeper and further than that in the IB PYP.

Each of our IBPYP Units of Inquiry are part of a greater global understanding, demonstrated in our IB PYP Programme of Inquiry.

Each theme is universal and considered “worth knowing for life” wherever your life might lead!

Therefore, our students develop their individual experience to a greater shared understanding of how our world works and changes from various perspectives. Our students come from so many different and diverse cultures and we value and learn from them all!

This is the ideal education for a internationally-connected and rapidly-changing future!

We understand that we cannot predict this fast-changing future, but we are confident that our children are best prepared with globally relevant concepts, skills, knowledge and attitudes that they can draw upon, adapt and develop in different life situations.

ISOCS students are happy with themselves and connected to and responsible for their local and global communities.
