A warm welcome from the Head of School - Jacqueline Webb
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the International School of Central Switzerland.
Our school is comprised of dedicated and experienced IBPYP educators from the top international schools in Switzerland and students from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
Our founding faculty of IBPYP school advisors and assessors came together in 2008 with a shared vision to truly implement best practices of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and establish a school of outstanding educational excellence.
The philosophy and mission of the International Baccalaureate shapes our school identity and culture and we are wholeheartedly committed to our educational journey following the IBPYP authorization process, towards, and far beyond our official Authorisation visit.
These web-pages offer you a small glimpse of what you can expect to see when you come to visit us at ISOCS.
The first thing you might notice is the cheerful colour scheme and the way in which our students and their thinking is honoured and celebrated wherever you look. As you visit our classrooms you will certainly be very impressed by our teacher’s positive and professional rapport with the students as they work intensively with small student groups. You won’t fail to notice how engaged and confident our students are!
The size of our school, and indeed the size of our classes, allows students and teachers to form close relationships where every student feels safe, known and nurtured.
Don’t be surprised if our students welcome you spontaneously and offer to tell you more about our curriculum, special projects or how they learn best. Our students are proud of their school and of themselves as learners. They are truly prepared for the 21st century and it’s rapidly changing demands.
I hope that I will have the pleasure of getting to know you and your children well and that our warm and vibrant community is a place where you will always feel welcome.
Welcome to the International School of Central Switzerland!
